The BioPartner concept was introduced in early 2000 when the Dutch ministry of Economy Affairs developed a program to stimulate entrepreneurship within the Life Sciences sector.
The Maastricht University Medical Center joined this program by realising the BioPartner Center Maastricht on the Maastricht Health Campus. BioPartner is an incubator where Life Science companies find an entrepreneurial climate by appropriate business accommodation, facilities and services within a research and clinical environment.
In addition, BioPartner offers guidance and support with regard to business, fiscal and legal issues. The establishment of both start-ups and expanding life sciences companies at the incubator will help to create an elaborate and extensive network of local life sciences businesses.
